Films at the National Film and Sound Archive

The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) presents an extensive screening program and a range of special events throughout the year.

Throughout 2017, they're showcasing the NFSA collection items which UNESCO has included in its Australian Memory of the World Register: the world’s first narrative feature film, and 46 years’ worth of newsreels! These historical items provide a significant snapshot of Australian life, culture and expression in the 20th century. Sit back, and discover these treasures.

Every Wednesday, delight in a selection of rare, cult, classic and experimental treasures, with special events and screenings.

Visit the NFSA's website to view the full calendar of events and screening times.
