Canberra Comedy Festival

The Canberra Comedy Festival will have you literally laughing out loud as it presents more than 60 comedy shows in the capital over one week. Bringing the finest comedic talent to Canberra the likes of Stephen K Amos, Dave Hughes and Cal Wilson will have you giggling with glee. Enjoy everything from galas to one man shows through to comedy for kids.

Held  Monday 20 March to Sunday 26 March at various locations across Canberra. Tickets are available now.

ACT Claycourt International

Players from around the world are taking to the court in Canberra. With $50,000 up for grabs this competition will be fierce.

Held from Saturday 11 to Sunday 26 March at Canberra Tennis Centre from 9am to 7pm. Entry is free.

Canberra Walk & Ride Week

Celebrate all things great about walking, cycling and catching public transport in the ACT. During Canberra Walk and Ride Week all Canberrans are encouraged to download the free GPS tracking smart phone app ‘ ACTiveLOG’ to capture the data of all your walking and cycling activities during the week. This data will help inform future decisions regarding infrastructure and facilities. Keep an eye out for their diverse program of events and activities throughout the week.

Held Friday 17 to Friday 24 March.

Plus500 Brumbies v Highlanders

The highlanders will go up against the Brumbies in a must see rematch of last season’s Quarter Final. Cheer on your team, soak up the atmosphere and watch as this trans-Tasman rivalry unfolds before your eyes. Who will win in 2017?

Held Saturday 25 March at GIO Stadium at 7:40pm. Tickets are available now.

Proximity Corporate & Community Triathlon Festival

This festival offers a distance for all ages and motivations. Challenge yourself or race as a team. The course will take you past some of Canberra’s iconic national attractions and beautiful lakeside views. Whether this is your first triathlon or you are a returning racer this course is for you.

Held Saturday 25 March at Rond Terrace from 6am onwards.

The Earth Festival

Learn about the benefits of healthy eating, discover local vegan products and explore eco-friendly businesses. Indulge in the finest local vegan cuisine or delve into the world of eco-friendly lifestyle.

Held Saturday 25 to Sunday 26 March at Exhibition Park in Canberra from 10am to 7pm.

National Folk Festival

Enjoy performances featuring music, dance, spoken word, film, circus and traditional crafts.

The National Folk Festival showcases top Australian acts alongside international headliners across 20 venues.Take advantage of food and beverage outlets, browse the festival market place and enjoy an exciting mix of entertainment.

Held Thursday 13 to Monday 17 April 2017. 

You Are Here

Popping up in shopfronts, alleyways, cafes, car parks, galleries, museums and even cars You Are Here will be everywhere you don’t expect. This 5 day festival features a playfully curated showcase of independent and experimental arts created by trained professionals, brilliant amateurs and passionate creative communities.

Held Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 April at various locations across Canberra.

Australian Running Festival

Long-distance runners from around Australia are set to converge on Canberra for the iconic Australian Running Festival. Set yourself a new bucket list challenge or just celebrate a full weekend of healthy lifestyles, fitness and fun across the scenic course that showcases the best of the nation’s capital. You can choose between a 5km, 10km, Half Marathon and Ultra Marathon.

Get your running shoes ready for Saturday 8 to Sunday 9 April at Old Parliament House.
