Australia Day 2020

Sunday 26 January

10am to 1pm
Stage 88, Commonwealth Park

Reflect, respect and then celebrate Australia Day in Canberra with a program of activities including the flag raising and citizenship ceremonies by Lake Burley Griffin, presented by the National Australia Day Council, followed by a great line-up of local and national musical talent on stage at Commonwealth Park.

Bring a picnic rug, grab a bite to eat from the food vans and relax to the sounds of Japanese Wallpaper and Nicole Millar, supported by local Monica Moore.

Given the current bushfires impacting our surrounding region the ACT Government will not be presenting fireworks this year. Instead, the Australia Day concert will be a fundraiser for a number of charities supporting the bushfire recovery across Australia covering people, wildlife and fauna and mental health. Representatives of these charities will be at the Stage 88 event with more details to be provided here soon.
